New Hampton Lake home owners Don and Beth Martell say they “stumbled over” John Reed’s newest community while exploring real estate options in the LowCountry. The stumble led to steadier steps and a firm resolution to buy a home at Hampton Lake and soon the Martells identified the Lake Estates Coach Homes as the perfect home choice.
“We felt like the John Reed concept was really valid,” explains Don Martell. “He took a golf course and made it into a 165-acre lake—that really appealed to us! We’re in a Coach Home, so we have great views of the lake and are right next to the Amenity Center,” they add.
The Martells, who are originally from Texas, are not golfers, though they have vacationed in Hilton Head for some time. Their talents lie in development and interior home design, among other areas. Don was a developer for 30 years, while Beth has specialized in home décor. They are experienced buyers who were impressed by the Lake Estates Coach Homes at Hampton Lake.
“It’s a fresh new product that is well-conceived and well-located,”
points out Don. “The Coach Home brings value and then we started
looking under the surface to figure out what you get for your dollar,
and it’s incredible!”
As she looks around, admiring the brand new Coach Home, Beth
Martell is quick to add, “all this is standard...there are no
surprises! Here, everything is just upfront and everything is included.
The floor plan works for us and I think it will work for a lot of
people.”
Beth is already right about that. More than 25 elegant,
maintenance-free Coach Homes have sold at Hampton Lake and Lake Estates
is ahead of schedule with its next release of the popular homes.
While
this momentum continues, Lakeside, the exciting new amenity village
adjacent to the Coach Homes, has unveiled a wide range of features and
activities.
Doc’s Boathouse offers regular boat cruises, Fitness
Central and the Spa provide a full menu of world class treatments and
exercise programs and Backwater Bill’s Restaurant in now open for lunch
and dinner.
